British flags at night club World Cup show

This photo, of night club dancers displaying British Union Jack flags during the World Cup, is pretty unusual because night clubs don’t usually stage shows about football (soccer in the US, of course.)

The show even featured dancers kicking a football around the stage.
Perhaps surprisingly, the show wasn’t staged at a London nightclub or a night club in another major British city – it was staged at a nightclub which is part of a holiday resort that is located in a small village which is about 150 miles from London.
It seems strange that a nightclub in a ‘hick’ village should stage a show that reflects a major world event like the World Cup.
So why wasn’t a show like this staged in London, or other major cities?
This is just a guess, but it could be that football isn’t considered sophisticated enough for London nightclub-goers.
