British rock band in America

When British rock bands have their music played on American radio it’s usually seen as a sign of success in the UK. At least, this was apparently the view of the newspaper journalist  who asked me to take some photos. of the British rock band in the photograph above.  Her exact words to me were: “they’ve had one of their songs played on American radio.”
I wouldn’t say that this meant she was over-awed by this, but there was definitely a note of deference in her voice.
Anyone who is interested in the relationship – the cultural relationship – between Britain and America might want to take note of this. It’s little snippets of information like this that help to create a picture of relationships, how they work.
Why should the relationship between Britain and America be of interest to anyone who is considering emigrating to Britain and applying for a UK visa?
Well, it’s probably preferable to have some idea of the attitudes that prevail in the host country before emigrating there.
In photo: British band `Liam Madison’  which had a song called `Virtual girl’ played on American radio after a recording session with producer Michael Raphael, who works with bands like Busted, Son or Dork and McFly.  Since then the band has regularly been flying between Britain and America to record and write their music.
