British people could respond to the wave of immigration to the UK from Poland (and other eastern European countries) by learning to speak some Polish

Although it’s generally true that immigrants should speak English, in reality some of them find it very difficult. This isn’t necessarily because they have no interest in learning English, it may be because they don’t have the linguistic skills to learn a foreign language. This isn’t unusual,  most of the world’s population can’t speak a foreign language.
One way of communicating with Polish immigrants that don’t speak much English is to create a list of useful English words which have been translated into Polish, but to have them translated into phonetic Polish, into how it is spoken, rather than how it is spelled.
What are `useful’ English words? That depends on the situation. This list was created by someone that rents part of his home to Polish immigrants, so the words reflect a renting situation. Someone that employs Polish people might find other words more useful.  
The list isn’t finished, but apparently it’s  very useful despite this. Also, it doesn’t have any useful sentences, complete with correct grammar.  
But apparently this isn’t important, because his tenants seem to speak better English almost every day.
